The last thing I did today was catch some of the RBC Downtown Criterium. Here are a few shots from a dog's point of view of both the women's and men's races. Just like Huskies, I can't help but think that many of the riders must get tired of the view from the back of the sled. Anyway, the last stage is tomorrow, the beginning and end are downtown, but the majority is in hilly south Redlands.

Another Busy Day 2
I'm going to sleep soundly tonight.
Around 11 am, I was dropped off at Willis Center while the Women's Basketball team held a brunch in honor of the success our tremendous student-athletes achieved this year. Who knows? Maybe I saw some of next year's freshman hoop players as after the brunch I mingled with Admitted Students around Pepper's Lawn. We went from table to table making sure all of these future Bulldogs felt welcome. Can you imagine having a better day to invite admitted students to the University? I can't. Well actually I can - because we're going to have another ten days like this in a row. However, let's not let this weather get in the way of upcoming finals .... And across the way on the quad the Multicultural Festival was just kicking into gear. There was a lot going on at the University.
From Pepper's Lawn, Talulah and I walked over to the Field of Dreams to watch our now 10-2 SCIAC conference leading team defeat Pomona-Pitzer in both games of a double header. Our Bulldogs played exception ball as they put together both offense and pitching to outscore the Sagehens 14-1. Let's keep this momentum for next Thursdays home game against the Ephs of William College. And don't ask me what an Eph is. I'm still trying to figure out what a Gustie is.

Another Busy Day
Today was filled with sporting events. We stopped by the Lacrosse game in the second half after classes and watched our ladies finish a tough four game week with a loss to the Potsdam Bears. Then we headed over to Men's Tennis where they eventually were victorious over Williams. We were there during the doubles matches. Then we headed over to watch some Baseball versus Pomona-Pitzer. For most of the day, my camera was set at too high an ISO so I'm posting black and white versions until I finally figured it out and changed it during baseball. Sorry. And then I capped the day off with another refreshing swim at home.

Women's Lacrosse vs. Oberlin
Indulge me with a few extra photos from tonight's game versus the Yeowomen of Oberlin College. There's a UR Mom on the East coast who found my blog and it's only fair I include a few more than normal, just in case her daughter sneaks into one of the frames. In the game tonight we won 21-13, eight different players scored, and we tied the school record for most goals. But it wasn't a blow out by any means. The Yeowomen were within 3 or 4 for much of the second half until they began to wear down against our Bulldog defense and Bulldog attack. Really, Bulldogs are gentle and playful. We are. Come game time, we get stubborn and relentless. Well done ladies. Tomorrow we face off against another Spring Break traveling team, the Bears of Potsdam. Game time is noon. I guess that means a few students might have to miss a Friday afternoon class...not that they ever have before...
