Women's Water Polo vs. CSUSB (W 11-3)
I made it out to Thompson Aquatic Center for the second game of the Redlands Mini-Tournament No. 1 as our Bulldogs took on the Coyotes of CSU San Bernardino. Thus was the second game of our young season; earlier in the day we were victorious against Whittier. In the late game we went out to an early three goal lead and never relented. Good ball movement and strong defense in the net proved too much for the Coyotes. This is one reason we're the top ranked Division III team in the country. Our next game is this coming Saturday night versus Hartwick. Come on out and support your Dawgs!
Women's Basketball vs. La Verne (W 83-68)
The Leopards of La Verne visited Currier Gym last night and our Lady Bulldogs played a great mid-season game. We beat the press, outrebounded the Leopards, and shot close to 50 percent from the field. The Leopards were held to 24 percent shooting and despite a run in the first half, never threatened for the victory. Courtney had a triple double while Ashley scored 16, Kaity 12, and Marika 13. We remained tied for first place with away games coming up with the Poets and Athenas before returning home to face Oxy on February 9. Go Dawgs!

Men's Basketball vs. CLU (W 72-56)
The Kingsmen came to town and were knocked off their horses by the Bulldogs on Wednesday night. Tristin had another great high-scoring game and Mychal knocked in some well-timed 3's. The fans were excited (some of them have hops too!) and included participants from the pre-game Chalk Talk with Coach Ducey sponsored by Town and Gown. I got to put on my half-time show with Coach Mari - I really love to play ball!!! Next up is La Verne on Saturday after the women play at 5 pm. It's Fan Appreciation Night - get there early to get your free T-shirt and cheer on the Bulldogs!!!

Women's Basketball vs. Cal Lu (W 67-54)
Our Lady Bulldogs played some quality minutes against the Regals of Cal Lu and never let them back into the game after gaining an early lead. There were a few runs made toward the end of the second half, but we kept them at bay long enough to remain tied for first with Oxy. Mariah led all scorers with 26, Kaity had 12, and Courtney added 10 with 5 blocked shots on defense. After a Cal Tech game this weekend, a showdown of the top two SCIAC teams looms just around the corner. Go Dawgs.

Men's Basketball vs. Pomona-Pitzer (L 51-60)
It was a rough night in Currier Gym as the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer Colleges came to take on the Bulldogs. The game started out close, but Redlands just couldn't get the ball regularly in the bucket for the last 2/3 of the game. Great efforts from the guys. It just wasn't our night. Good luck to them for the next three away games. Come out and support the DAWGS when they return home on January 25!!!
