After playing around with Talulah and Buddy during the break, we took to the stands with a great crowd of supporters to watch our Bulldogs take on the Stags in the SCIAC opener. Everyone was treated to a close game punctuated by one brief period of misfortune that spanned the intermission. At the buzzer to end the first half, the Stags hit a half court prayer. They built on that luck to open the second half with a 8-0 run that we spent the remainder of the game erasing. We got to within one and we had our chances at the end, but it didn't go our way. We lost 67-70. Matt led all scorers with 25 points. I like to think if we take the combined score from both games of the double header that we won the overall school title by 10 points. Somehow I don't think it works that way. The men play at Whittier next Wednesday where we'll work hard for our first SCIAC victory. Go Bulldogs!
