I showed up at half time to a 0-0 tie with the Leopards of La Verne. Reviewing the stats I saw we took ten shots on goal the first half and none found the back of the net. None? This was going to take some mascot mojo to get our Bulldogs back on track. There were 100 plus relaxed fans at Farquhar Field. I worked the sidelines, staying in the shade, and drinking water often. I also worked the sidelines behind the team. It must have worked. The second half was a different story than the first. We took seven shots on goal and four went through the pipes. John and Pat had one each and Jensen notched two goals. What was a sleepy first half turned into a rout in the second keeping our Bulldogs on top of the SCIAC with a 6-0-2 record. Great job. The Sagehens are up next on Wednesday at 7 pm.
