The Eagles of Concordia landed at Farquhar Field and what turned out to be another hot sunny Sunday afternoon. Turbo Thurber went solo as it was way too hot for the likes of me. He wasn't friendless though; Kona was there in the shade of the hammock and the two of them got a little rough and tumble in before half time. Turbo reported back a lack of possession time and an inability to capitalize on scoring chances that hindered our success and despite a furious attack near the end of the game we couldn't come up with the equalizer. We lost 1-0 to a good Eagle squad. Next up for the ladies is an away trip to Wisconsin for two more tune up games and then it's straight into SCIAC play. Go Dawgs!
