Senior Day Softball

It was Senior Day at the Field of Dreams and Talulah and I visited with three young ladies who are playing their last games as Bulldogs; Dory, Roxy, and Jennie. And they went out well by winning both games of a double header against the Poets of Whittier. The wins secured our eigth victory in the last nine games and more importantly our fifth SCIAC Championship. So...that means we'll have one more chance to watch our Seniors play as they'll host the SCIAC Tournament next Friday and Saturday. This will be at the start of May Term so we should see plenty of support out there.

Men's Golf at RCC

The Bulldogs hosted six other teams at Redlands Country Club this afternoon. Talulah and I hung around the club house to watch the SCIAC 18-Hole #5 but we didn't wander the course; too many hills. For results, you'll have to check the UR Athletics website, we had to leave before everyone finished their rounds. The Bulldogs were doing well though. Glad we could support them, now if only we could get them in one place at one time for a photo...

Women's Tennis and Softball

Although I wasn't allowed to travel to Pomona, I sent along my handler to take a few photos and cheer on our Lady Bulldogs at the SCIAC Championships. We beat Whittier and Cal Lutheran to get to a rematch with the Sagehens in the finals. We lost to Pomona-Pitzer at home not too long ago so winning the Championship on their court was going to be tough....but we did it!! Our ladies battled to a 5-4 victory and a share of the SCIAC crown. Wow! Congratulations! Feeling a bit left out for not being there in person, I talked Talulah into watching some of the Softball game versus Occidental. We swept both games of the double header, 2-1 and 11-2. Another great day to be a Bulldog! Wait, every day is a great day to be a Bulldog.

Coffee, donuts, and tennis

Friday morning began in the Rose Garden at the Hall of Letters. This was one way for the University to thank those who contributed to the 2009 Faculty and Staff Campaign. Many important programs will be supported through both monies and community service pledges. Unfortunately, none of those attending felt like donating any of the donuts toward the mascot. As we left, we saw a few students heading into the building for finals. Hope they did well. After coffee Talulah and I went over to REV and watched some of the Men's Tennis match versus La Verne. I was content to hang in the shade, but Talulah had other plans. After hamming it up for a photo, she proceeded to pickpocket one of the players and absconded with a tennis ball. After many throw and fetches, she finally settled down. Oh yeah, the men won 5-0. Great Job!

After-math....Finals!

Calculus students may need to worry...Talulah was spotted grading some finals!
