Soccer vs. Cal Lu

Both the men's and the women's soccer teams defeated Cal Lu tonight. The ladies were away. They won 2-1 in overtime with goals by Chelsea and Leslie and an assist by Maddy. We took 27 shots to their 4. Great game ladies and thanks for stopping by the end of the men's game. I watched the men take down Cal Lu at home 2-0. Nick and Alex each scored goals while Will had an assist. Evan had 5 saves too.

And who can resist a few shots of the pups? Talulah misses hanging out at the games but she watches Live Stats whenever she can.

The Eyes Have It

My oh my. My oh my. We have eyes. Both pups are starting to experience sight. Truffles (the girl) was the first to look me in the eye. Thurber or Ollie or Victor or ??? was the next.

Pupdate Saturday

Here's a few more shots of my grand kids.
And congratulations to the Women's Volleyball team. They beat the Sagehens in five sets!

Soccer vs. CMS Athenas

Double overtime. Golden goal. We lost 2-1. The Athenas outlasted us on a triple digit day on Farquhar Fields. I arrived at the end of the first half and the game was scoreless. We scored first in the second half but the equalizer came quick about 7 minutes later. There was a great crowd on hand and the otter pops definitely took the edge off of the heat. I think our ladies played well. We took plenty of quality shots and we had opportunities, but the Athenas just got the better of us. We'll bounce back. We're Bulldogs.

Volleyball vs. CMS

Opening night of SCIAC play in Currier Gym proved to be a rousing success as our Lady Bulldogs won handily in four sets against a good CMS team. That evened us up in league play at 1-1 and our overall record is now 6-3. During the first couple of sets I hung close to the door to catch a cooling breeze. I made it over to the south side of the gym to play assistant coach for the last two sets. I found out a bonus of the position is the small fan that kept me cool. And of course being patted on the head by the coach. I was impressed by the scrappy play, good blocks, and strong hitting. We have another home game versus Pomona-Pitzer tomorrow night at 6 pm. Let's have another stand-packed game to cheer our team on. Go Dawgs!

Football Photos

Today I had to get back to my Mascot duties. Every year, Coach Maynard consults the Bulldog Almanac and finds the hottest possible afternoon to schedule a photo shoot. He hit it perfect again. It was hot. At least the players got to wear their home whites. But it was fun too. Doggone are there a lot of football players to pose with...

100 YEARS OF BULLDOG FOOTBALL! GO DAWGS!

And on the home front, the two little ones are gaining privileges as fast as they're gaining weight. They've been released into the "whelping box" and T stands/sits watch with them around the clock.

Pupdate Thursday

Day 9. No eyes yet, but I keep looking. They weighed in around 28 oz. This might be the last time they get put on the scale. They're getting too wiggly and too big. I had to read the average of the bouncing needle. I think I got it right.
I have football photos later today. I'll be solo this year as the pups are still too young to travel and Talulah will have to stay behind to tend to her litter. Tomorrow is Volleyball at 7:30 pm vs. CMS and Saturday is Women's Soccer vs. CMS at 11 am. Hope to see everyone there.
