The pups are five weeks old today. Not a huge milestone in their lives, but signs of the times ahead are starting to appear. They've moved into a larger pen and now have more room to play. They use the newspaper on a regular basis. They're louder. Truffles walks, no near runs, when she gets a chance. Thurber gets his back legs under him a fair portion of the time, but he won't win any races to the food bowl. At the food bowl, Thurber excels. Talulah's desire to feed them is waning as their teeth grow bigger and sharper. Weaning, while not complete, is imminent. Standing feeds like the one in the photo are opportunistic and short lived. And of course, I get a chance to play and interact with them more now that mom has relaxed her guard.
