I pulled a double tonight by attending the water polo match at Thompson Aquatic Center and then moseying on over to the pitch at Farquhar Field to catch some soccer. Both venues had great supporting crowds. We needed them at water polo because it took us until the fourth quarter before we broke it open. We won 15-11 and now we're 2-0 in SCIAC. Our next home game will be vs. the Beavers of Cal Tech on Halloween at 11 a.m. We follow that match with another at 4 pm vs. Cal Baptist.
The setting sun that gave our water polo players trouble led into a perfect evening for Soccer. Lounging on the bank with students, parents, and fans we were treated to an exciting game against a tough SCIAC opponent. CMS was one spot ahead of us in the standings until tonight. Cody got us off the snide with a goal early in the second half. That was all we needed despite some other quality shots that just didn't make it through the pipes. We won 1-0. I think our Bulldogs are really coming together at the right time. Go Dawgs!
