Football vs. Pacific Lutheran (L 14-28)

Town and Gown's Rah Rah Redlands party kicked off the first home football game of the season. Many fans and alumni came to hear the 4th of July Band play (my favorite - When the Mighty Bulldog Growls!), sample from the various food trucks (BACON!), enjoy some beverages, listen to Coach Maynard speak, and cheer on the the team. President Kuncl got his maroon jacket (appropriate sideline attire) and my wagon was in tip-top shape thanks to the excellent service department at Hatfield Buick. The game started great with the Bulldogs driving to inside the 5 yard line and hopefully getting some points on the board. Unfortunately our pass was intercepted and the Lutes went on to a 21 - 0 scoring frenzy the remainder of the first half. Redlands battled back in the second half with two touchdowns and kept Pacific Lutheran to only scoring once more. It's a rough start this season, but with 2 weeks to get healthy and back on track, we should see some more exciting Bulldog action against Oxy on Sept. 29. It's Bring a Kid to the Game night so I hope to see all the young pups playing out on the field during half-time. Go DAWGS!!!
