It was a double serving of Sagehen tonight so we brought out all the Dawgs; Talulah and Thurber joined me for the feast. The first course was highlighted by Courtney's tenth double double of the season. Ali added four treys to the mix and Meghan chipped in twelve of her own. Eleven Bulldogs got in the game and that's with three of our team nursing injuries. Can someone tell me how we can shoot 70 percent from inside the arc but only shoot 43 percent from the free throw line? The game was wide open enough in the second half for me to steal away and catch an amazing vocal performance by Caitlin in her Senior Recital at Frederick Loewe Performance Hall. It was just another reminder of how much talent; athletic, academic, and artistic we have here at the University. Wow. And it was great inspiration for me to return to Currier Gym to catch the second course; the men's game. This one was closer than the first. The Sagehens were tied for first in SCIAC and we were in need of a momentum change. Platoon after platoon we kept ourselves in the game to the end. Like the first game though free throws were our nemesis. If we could have made the front end of a one and one my heart rate would have slowed down to normal. But no, we had to keep them in the game until the final few seconds where we prevailed 63-60. Great game. I'm glad I brought out all the Dawgs for this one. It was fun. Next up is another double header vs. Cal Lu one week from tonight. That's Bring the Kids night for everyone, not just the mascot. See you all there.
