Thurber attended tonight's game in my place, watching variously from the scoring table and the student section; donned in his UR t-shirt, UR collar, and UR leash. He was witness along with 200 plus other fans to another exciting game versus fellow first place Tigers of Occidental College. The first half see sawed back and forth with the final swing in our favor for a five point lead. But things got cold from there. We didn't score for the first 7 and a half minutes of the second half and let our five point lead turn into an 11 point deficit. If we think positively, we overcame the deficit and took a lead toward the end against a good Oxy team. We lost 64-63. This was one thriller that got away. It will take a solid team effort to return the favor when we visit their gym the last game of the season. Before then we have three more home games in a row to build our momentum and fight back into the SCIAC race. The first of these games is this Saturday vs. La Verne and I hear the first 125 fans to arrive will get a free t-shirt!
