Swimming and Diving vs. Caltech

In an effort to break through the doldrums of the final days of break, Thurber and I wandered over to the Thompson Aquatic Center to catch some swimming and diving. As you can tell, I had to remind Thurber that our school colors are maroon and gray so his rest on the orange parka was brief and not without a grandfatherly lecture on mascot responsibilities. So we settled in with the team in the stands on another perfect 70+ degree and sunny day in Redlands. Caltech was over matched and undermanned against the Bulldogs, but they were able to pull off two event wins to our Bulldogs 24. It was relaxing. It was good competition. It was fun. It was the perfect day to set the stage for returning to classes and office hours at Willis on Tuesday.
