On Monday, the University of Redlands hosted the 17th annual AAUW Math & Science Conference for 8th Grade Girls. 600 well-dressed young ladies from middle schools all over Redlands and Yucaipa came to hear professionals describe their jobs and the importance of math and science courses to get them there. Message - Take more Math and Science!!!! (By the way, living with a mathematician isn't so bad!) I got to greet them on their way to the bus. You can't have a proper University experience without a mascot encounter! Thanks to AAUW and all their support over the years.
