Both the women's and men's tennis teams had matches on Friday. The women started first against the Missionaries of Whitman. The doubles teams took all three matches with an especially hard-fought win from behind by #1 Rachael and Sara. Paige, Sara, Julia, and Rachael also posted wins in their singles matches as well showing no mercy to Whitman in a 7-2 win. Meanwhile the men took on the Bantams of Trinity College from Connecticut. Connor and Mark won their doubles match in the #3 spot, but the Bulldogs came up short in the other two doubles matches. However the top 3 singles from UR won putting the Bulldogs in winning position. All the matches were battles, but the Bantams came out ahead with a 5-4 victory over the Bulldogs. The Lady Bulldogs next home match will be against the Sagehens next Saturday at 10 a.m. The men play Saturday 3/26 in a double header against the Chapman Panthers at 10 a.m. and the Purple Cows of Willams College at 2 p.m. Come out and enjoy the weather and some excellent tennis!
