Baseball vs. La Sierra (W 16-0)

Taking advantage of daylight hours, today's opening game at The Yard started whilst many students were still in class, 2 pm. We still had a healthy 100 plus crowd under typically beautiful skies. However, this season you'll want to come out early because the game pace has picked up with new NCAA rules. Today's game took two and half hours, in part because our team scored 16 runs. The Golden Eagles of La Sierra kept our hitters in check the first few innings, but the Bulldog bats awoke in the sixth inning when 10 players crossed home plate. Twenty total hits, nine strike outs to two walks, and four players with multiple RBIs is a great way to start the season. Tomorrow we face off against Cal Baptist. Go Dawgs!
