Women's Basketball vs. Chapman

The Panthers of Chapman visited Currier Gym tonight. It was a little over a month ago when we were distracted by impending finals and a bit timid to be on the road that the Panthers shredded us by 26 points. This is a new year. And this was our kennel. And finals are dog years away. So we returned the favor and after a tight 32 minutes of play pulled away for a 25 point victory of our own. We won 76-51. That's 33 more points than we scored the first time. We made almost half of our shots. Four of our Lady Bulldogs scored in double digits; Meghan, Shada, Courtney, and Mariah. We had no double digit scorers the first time against Chapman. Meghan set the defensive tone for tonight's game with a blocked shot on the first possession. Four team blocks and 42 missed Panther shots later we beat a team that hadn't lost a game since December 18th. From this point forward, all of our games are SCIAC games. We have three home games left, including this Thursday versus Cal Tech. Come out and root us on. The cheerleaders will be there and I'll be walking around before the game and at half time looking for a kind pat on the head or scratch behind the ear. Talulah on the other hand needs a little more personal time.
