After catching the Rose Parade in the morning and relaxing in the sun the rest of the afternoon on a glorious winter day, I headed over to Currier Gym for the first game of the calendar year to see our Lady Bulldogs take on the Banana Slugs of Santa Cruz. The first half saw the slugs creep out to a 7 point lead with a little over a minute to go, but we furiously rallied in that last minute to tie the game at 30. Talulah even peeked her head out from the scoring table to catch some of the action. In the second half we built a 12 point lead that was slowly whittled away to four until we closed the game for a 72-61 victory. Great start to 2009! We play Drew University on Saturday at 7:30 pm. Let's see some of the students trickling back to start the new semester come out and cheer our team on.
