Multicultural Festival

As I wasn't feeling that well today, I sent grandpa Duke along to campus to attend a suite of activities from Admitted Students Day to various sporting events to the Multicultural Festival on the Quad. I knew he had the patience and experience for it, although he was wagoned around to account for the few extra retirement pounds he's put on. This post captures just some of Duke's story from today. The sporting events will be posted separately. The Admitted Students day agenda had Duke posing for pictures on the steps of Casa Loma Room with whomever from the 400 plus soon to be freshman wanted to meet the mascot. That was great fun and he met a lot of new faces. The Multicultural Festival was just around the corner so he got a chance to mingle with students and community members before finally heading over to Peppers Lawn for a group shot with the Men's Club Lacrosse team who was going to play College of the Canyons. Talk about a busy few blocks. I hope all the Admitted Students got a chance to experience the University and realize they've made a great choice and we can't wait to see them in the fall. You might want to start learning the Och Tamale now...
