Competitive swim season has officially begun! I checked out Thompson Aquatic Center on Saturday morning to witness the first meet of the season. The pool deck was packed with swimmers and fans from colleges from Southern CA and Arizona. There were so many swimmers that they averaged 4 heats in every event. It was a beautiful day and lots of friendly competition. I enjoyed meeting the athletes and cheering them on in the water. Many swimmers were getting their base times to beat the rest of the season. Too bad I'm not built for streamlining off the wall.....
