The first round of the NCAA Division III Championships were played on a slightly wet Farquhar Field tonight, although I didn't make it there because live mascots are not allowed to attend. I followed the game online and after a quick first goal by Cody, the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran were awarded a penalty kick and evened the score less than two minutes later. From that point forward, the Bulldogs commanded the ball and the game. Our defense was outstanding and our offense out shot the Lutes 26 to 10. Jamie, Alex, and Charles all contributed goals for a 4-1 victory. This moves us into the second round where we'll face the winner of Chapman vs. CMS. Our game will be at 5 pm. Go Dawgs!
