A well fought first half with the Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus suggested our Bulldogs had shaken the post Thanksgiving doldrum(sticks) and were poised to get their first victory after two close home defeats. Although we grabbed the lead briefly in the first few minutes of the second half, the Gusties went on a tear while our shooting dropped to 26 percent; before long we were down by 15 with 7 to play. A gutsy come back filled with three pointers and solid defense put us back in the game, down by 3, with two to go. It was that stretch of Bulldog basketball that holds promise for games to come. The Gusties didn't relent and finished us off from the line with six free throws in the last half minute. We play three away games before returning to Currier Gym on December 10 to face La Sierra.
