Men's Tennis vs. Emory (L 2-7)

The #4 ranked Eagles of Emory visited Verdieck Court yesterday afternoon and although their hot streak came to an end against the Cougars of Azusa Pacific a day earlier, they rebounded against our Bulldogs to start another anew. It was a very close match at the start with our #2 doubles team securing a victory first, but the Eagles edged us in the other doubles by scores of 9-7 in each. That was a great showing that could have gone either way. Although Mark in our #6 singles match gave us our second point of the day, we eventually fell 7-2. There were several matches that could have gone our way there too. No one can say we don't schedule tough opponents and after an away game this Saturday in Santa Cruz, our Bulldogs return for an extended home stay against numerous Spring Break traveling teams; nine in fact over two weeks. We'll need to dig deep to continue to play with Bulldog intensity. We will. Go Dawgs!
